Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first gymnast to score a 10 for a competition at the Olympics. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics instructor who later became the coach for Comaneci, first discovered Comaneci when she was just six years old. She first competed at the junior national championships of Romania in 1969 she placed 13th. Then in the year 1970, she the Romanian gymnast won. In 1972, at the communist nations' meet for juniors before the Olympics, she won three medals of gold. In 1973 and '74 she was the junior champion in all aspects. When she competed for the first time in senior level, Lyudmila Turkishcheva, a Russian athlete, won five gold medals aswell as one silver. She was the first woman to ever successfully complete a backwards double salto when dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager, she began performing in traveling shows like Ice Capades as a skater along with her younger sibling Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th day of September, 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol started her career in entertainment as a teenager. When she was a child she was the figure skater alongside Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. Ice Capades featured performances of skaters ice skating by actors.
