April Lockhart was born on July 4 1995 In seventh grade she began playing the guitar as well as taking piano lessons, sparking her passion for songwriting. In the seventh grade April started taking guitar and piano classes. It sparked her interest in writing songs. The year she turned 14 was when she spent a lot of time in making song lyrics and working on her musical skills. The following years, she took writing trips along with her father to LA as well as NY. The month also saw her include other related topics for some of her classmates who struggle in the area of bullying by peers and teen suicide in the song Take my Hand.
